 Mt Princeton-East Face

Camped just above the radio towers and hiked from there. The weather was pretty cool with the overcast skies and actually had a little graupel fall during the hike. As stated by the previous report it is a pretty straight forward hike with the trail becoming a bit obscurred below the saddle. Hiking up to the saddle and along the ridge seemed the way to go and avoid some tedious talus hopping. View from the summit was spectacular. There was some weather building in the valley to the East and more moving in from the west so we finished our wine celegbration (fiancees first 14er) and headed down. Took 3h40min to climb and just under 3hrs to descend. We thankfully missed the storm in valley on the way down. Weather was cool and a bit overcast but sun was out for the summit views. There was more talus hopping than I thought there would be. Not a technical route and no worries on getting lost. Only eating a bar and half a sandwich helped me get a hypoglycemic headache..

I would also recommend driving to the towers but the area could be very crowded during busy days and there is definately limited turn around areas if traffic is coming either way. I have a slightly modified tacoma 4x4 and would not recommend a standard 2wd vehcle. Talked to a couple in a subaru who had no problems but they stand higher than your typical car.
