We were up there on Sunday, too. We started at 8:30 from the Matterhorn Creek trailhead. It was one of those days when those who started out later were in luck. It was heavily overcast over Uncompaghre in the morning with light snow, briefly, but by late morning the weather had really improved. We talked to another hiker who had been on top by 9 am, and he said he couldn't see anything through the cloud cover. It was beautifully sunny with light breeze only while we were up top from around 1:00 to 2:00. The first drops of rain fell, literally when I was 10 feet away from our Blazer at the end of the hike. Great timing, for once.
