Monday August 15:

Arrived at the trailhead a little after 6am. There was just two of us, myself and my uncle. The hike wasnt too bad until you got above treeline, then the switchbacks became steeper and more rocky, but we made it to the summit a little after 10am. We stayed at the top for about 45 minutes. The weather was incrediable, there was not a cloud in the sky and you could see miles in either direction. We headed down together but I got well head of my uncle. I am 23, he is 52, so it is easier on my knees than for him. I got to the trailhead a little before 1pm and waited for him. He arrived at about 2pm. This was my forth fourteener. ( Antero, Grays and Princeton) were the other three.

Saw quite a few people on the way down and told them to keep an eye on the weather, especially above tree line. Even saw somebody hiking in sandals

Overall it was a good hike and I didnt even get any headaches. Not bad for somebody from Kansas.
