Castle and Conundrum via Conundrum Couloir

This would turn out to be one of my favorite days on the mountain. After
doing S. Maroon the previous day, I slept in the back of my car at around
10,950 on Castle Creek Road for like 12 hours. I began hiking at 4 am under a full moon and a nearly cloudless sky. I reached the base of Conundrum Couloir just as the sun began to light the eastern sky. The snow conditions were perfect, allowing great purchase with my front points alone. The couloir climb is short but very sweet with a short class 3 rock climb needed to navigate around the cornice. I summited just as the sun lit the Elks to the west. The colors were amazing. On to Castle and down the NE ridge, back to the car at 10. Here is what the couloir looks like now, try it, hurry, its sweet!
