 Peak C -> Peak H via Ripsaw

From Piney Lake TH, our route was approximately 16 miles and 6300 vertical. It took us 13 hours 37 minutes, running the final 3 miles.

We mostly stayed on the ridge, occasionally dropping to the southwest to avoid obstacles. There is already good information about this ridge in other reports, such as these:

The only useful beta we can add is that it was worth traversing to Peak H for the grassy descent (see GPX). Peak G to Black BM is similar to the rest of the ridge. Black BM to Peak H is mellower.

Where are we going? Not over there.

Do you have a timeline or generally how quickly it took from peak to peak? I guess I could extract that from the GPX? I've never really done a deep dive into those. Just see generally what the tracks are.

Those timestamps are always super helpful for me on these types of ridge runs, just doing some algebra out there to see how I'm progressing and how much time to expect for the next piece.

Glad to see you were wiser than me and my partner on the descent off H. We thought we were cool enough for the chossy gully.

My hiking partner gets the credit for the good SE descent. We also enjoyed scoping out the Spider and Fly for a future return visit!

The Spider and the Fly was my first Gore ridge link-up. So nice, I've done it twice! Wonderful prominence with a fantastic view!

Your track was very helpful. Thank you! We did Ripsaw Ridge yesterday, including the descent down Peak H, as you described. Long, tough, but fun day!
