Missouri Mt. July 9 2005, Miss. gulch th.

Started just before dawn, great well maintained trail, great views on the approach and stunning views once you hit the saddle. Wildflowers in full bloom. Managed to feed some mosquitoes while in the forest due to a lack of repellant. Plenty of water in the valley with several stream crossings. Just a couple of short wet patches of postholing snow on the upper parts of the trail, very minor nuisance. With a first timer in tow we took it very very slow and summited by 10am not breaking a sweat. Saw some people sliding down from the summit on the few long remaining snowfields, did not take that route down since the snow resembled a dirty half melted slushee, definitely looked like a wet ride. A great day with great views. Lots of people.
