Pacific Peak - East Ridge (up), Southeast Slopes (down)

I climbed up Pacific Peak's east ridge this last Sunday. The weather was perfect and I got to hang out with about 13 mountain goats throughout the course of the day. It was trickier than I thought it would be! I struggled after having recently traveled to sea level for several weeks, but I found the rock to be just as hard as several of the class 3 routes I have tackled in the past. The ridge itself is a really fun route - much better than the nasty southeast slopes route that I descended.

The full report, complete with lots of photos and a more detailed write-up of both the ascent and descent can be found here: Pacific Bleat

I was there - same route, same day, surprised to have missed you! The weather was indeed gorgeous, but we only saw 5 goats.

That descent was really nasty, we were glad to get on solid ground!
