Emma Burr Mountain and Tincup Peak

I climbed Emma Burr and Tincup Peak from St Elmo to Tincup Pass. I wanted to take advantage of the low snowpack. Despite flurries and cloud cover, I didn't lose too much visibility. The road was closed to snowmobiles but packed from prior use. The Continental Divide has very sparse snow for February-at least 10 days ago. Nice to see those in winter although I am more or less done with that road!

I know what you mean with the road. It's 12 miles RT from St Elmo to the pass. In winter I'll take skis if I go to get Fitzpatrick. In summer a mt bike. I think it took only 15 minutes to get from the CDT to St Elmo on Mt bike going downhill.
