Sultan Mountain and Grand Turk in late November

This has been a very interesting autumn here in the San Juans with unseasonably warm temps and a lack of snow... which has made for nice conditions for hiking and mountain climbing.
I had a great day hiking up Sultan Mountain and Grand Turk last weekend and thought I'd share my photos and trip report with you here.

As usual, my full trip report is over on my website. I hope you enjoy.

Another note - I have been making a conscious decision to try to edit my photos in a more natural and pleasing fashion. Just something I thought I'd throw in there!

Here's some shots from the climb ~ about 50 photos on the full TR, and my GPS stuff if anyone is interested.

You sure do come up with some eye candy. I honestly can't say which one of the shots on your full report is my fav - they are all so very, very good. I am curious how long the trek took you?

Matt, I like your new style almost as much as I enjoyed the views from this combo in summer.
This hike definitely showcases the amazing vistas the SJs offer.
Thanks for posting a great report that illustrates how nice living along the 550 corridor can be. I miss those opportunities now.

You sure know how to use a camera! That looks like an ideal way to burn off those Thanksgiving calories. More 13ers to add to my 'to do' list which never gets any shorter.

I have thought several times over the last month getting back down that way but thought snow? and long drive other things at home stopping me, should have gone, those were on my list from earlier in the year to grab, where has the time gone...

nice report as usual
