Going Coastal
Atlantic Peak - West Ridge (plus a little detour) - 8 miles RT, 3372' gain

The more I have gotten to know the mountains, the more I have realized how naive I have been. I had no idea I was passing by obvious centennial 13ers on SH-91 on my way to Leadville to hike and climb 14ers. I had often stopped and admired the peaks I could see from the Clinton Reservoir but until recently, didn't know they'd be summits I'd chase. Anyways, even with some snow on the ground (which draws most people while it repels me), I decided to give Atlantic Peak a try. This is the story of that ascent. It's a wonderful and scenic climb and I had the mountain all to myself.
