Hello friends!

Welcome back to this week's Hiking in Colorado 14er adventure! On Monday, we climbed one of the most iconic peaks in the state of Colorado - Longs Peak! Not only did we climb Longs Peak, but we also summited its neighboring Centennial 13er - Mount Meeker.

Longs Peak stands at 14,255' in elevation and is widely considered the Monarch of the Front Range. It towers above all else in Rocky Mountain National Park. It is recognized by people from around the world!

We didn't take the standard route up. We ascended Longs Peak via the Loft route, made a quick stop at Mount Meeker, continued over to Longs Peak and descended via the Keyhole route. The Keyhole route is the standard route up and down Longs Peak.

We had a long but super fun day in the mountains. It was just over 15 miles and right around 6,000' of elevation gain. It feels great to finally check this iconic mountain off my list!
