La Plata to East Plata Traverse, Late Summer

Went up the NW Ridge Route in essentially summer conditions, traversed over to East Plata and back, then back down NW Ridge. (I am working on the 73...er...uh...the 74 named 14er summits.) I have a complete trip report plus 30 or so photos on my blog at this link: http://www.danieljoderphotography.com/14er-report-35-la-plata-peak-and-east-plata-very-late-summer-conditions-nw-ridge-route/

Great report, and great pictures. Yes, that was us after the boulder field, starting on the ridge. LaPlata / Ellingwood ridge was my #58 and could not have been a more perfect day.
