I was the guy in the Jeep you walked past I believe. Got started about 10 minutes after you. Pretty unbelievable what that place looked like on Saturday. I was Horseshoe and Peerless bound, but kept my eye on you and the other guy most of the day. Great pictures man. Sherman / the Mosquito range and the word "sick" don’t usually go in the same sentence. That is until this past Saturday... Enjoy the rest of your spring!

Here’s a shot of you. You can see your track off to the right and the black dot is one of you

I was the guy ahead of you. You were moving fast I kept looking over my shoulder, and you were that much closer. Nice work. The snow was great.

. I was there exactly one week before you and had a difficult time.
The snow then was breakable crust up top.
I stupidly decided to go off-route to climber’s left of the top gully thinking my ski crampons would have enough grip. I got up high on the face and started to slip enough to make me want to change into boot mode, which was tricky on the face (corresponds closely to your last picture, I think). After climbing up another maybe 100 feet, there was a layer of hard ice about an inch deep that prevented making kick steps.. the whole fiasco cost me maybe 45 minutes to an hour. But summiting was awesome after that.
Ride down was good for the bottom 2/3..

your timing seems like it was way better than mine.. jealous !!

dillon: that is an awesome shot, thank you! I saw your tracks going towards horseshoe on my way back, I had considered venturing up there after Sherman but the weather wasn’t going to cooperate for much longer. How was it up there? Did you come down Boudoir couloir?

mountaingoat: the weather has gotten better each week out since mid March, more snow/better snow every week. good work on sherman last week!

skierdj: Nice job on the climb up, I was hoping to catch you so we could ride down together but you got up that top section faster in the soft stuff. You must have just missed the crazy bad winds up on the summit.

I was actually headed your way along the ridge, but nearing Sheridan decided mother nature had other plans if I didn’t get out of there fast! Like everything else, Boudoir looked fantastic. You’ve been on a tear this spring. Keep it up man!
