 North Ridge

This is a beautiful, short hike. The basin near 12,000 feet is expansive. This made for great fun on the descent in the snow. Lots of bounding down the mountain, sliding and tumbling. When ascending from the basin, the summit sneaks up on you pretty quickly. The parking lot at the trailhead is large and very easy for a 2WD passenger car to get to. At least it was in June of 2011!
