 Bald Mountain - East Ridge

The French Creek valley and French Pass are wonderful spots for camping, mountain biking, and hiking.
(I don't camp over here anymore, however, because there are too many ATV'ers making noise at all hours javascript:emoticon(''))

The trail itself is a very fun mountain bike single-track route the leads all the over the continental divide into Breckenridge.
This trip report about an alternate route to hike up Bald Mountain 'A' (and I will also create routes for this and for Boreas Mountain from this side)

Left Denver at around 5 and got to the trail-head at about 6:20. The dirt road is in good shape, if somewhat wash boarded, and there is a small parking lot at the trail-head itself.
I made it to the "south" summit at about 10:40 (I'm not a fast hiker), and the true summit at 11. A quick 20 minute lunch of PB&J sandwich before the clouds rolled in, and back to the car at 2 pm.

Thanks for posting, been in the valley biking a few times but never ventured much farther than that grave marker.
