Been thinking about doing this mountain too! Now I know where to go, thanks for the TR. I thought about starting at the 1st switchback on 82 going to the pass or somewhere along the southside, but this is a good place to start.

Thanks for posting this, Ben. We are heading up Lackawanna/13660 this weekend.
Your writing and those pics beat the heck out of some lame condition update.
See you at Lakeview.

nice way to change up the monotonous schedule of the week and catch a glimpse of what its like to be able to ski peaks whenever you want.

I'll see you three Sat evening then!

boudreaux - I believe starting from the first switchback is the standard summer route, but I could be wrong. As soon as the south gullies melt out I wouldn't touch them but if you're interested in a mellow snow climb, they're the way to go!

Nice job guys

We were actually there ten days earlier, and with the warm May weather I'm not surprised that west face line had melted out- it was kinda thin to begin with. we have definitely been finding the deepest and often best conditions this spring on east, north, and south faces. West has been tougher.
Anyway way to get after it!

It was just surprising comparing your shots to what we found 10 days later, but we still got to ski down so I guess we all win .

It's been fun watching you guys tear it up on the Centennials project. Congrats on your success the past few weeks and thanks for the beta/inspiration. We hit a few Cents this spring ourselves - definitely fun to get out and ski a couple lesser documented peaks.

Cheers and g'luck on whatever's next!
