 Still can't just walk

13.6 miles, 4,600' of climbing, 3:53 car to car.

So a week ago, Gratz was calling for an undercast at 9500-10000' at sunrise. I was out of bed shortly after 2am and running up the Stevens Gulch road by 4:15. My 8.5 month old puppy goes insane without her daily run, so she accompanied me for her first real outing in the mountains. Didn't feel like dragging the SLR up so brought the GoPro instead. Enjoy (or don't).

Something weird with the link
8/23/2012 6:57pm
I had to copy and paste it into a new browser window to get it to work.

It's always nice to see trails without people on them. Maybe one of these times you can strap your GoPro to her. That would be an interesting perspective!

Fixed it and made sure it worked this time. Everything looked normal...weird.

I've thought about trying to get the camera mounted on the dog, I'm sure it'd be fun come winter.

good work

a summit alone is worth a disappointing anticipated shot. I did Elbert about 15 years ago at night to get a sunrise. dull...but to be up there all alone at that time of day is to touch the face of God. for me. (early June and about as cold as I have been on a mountain)
very nice video.

Congrats for making something more than usual out of Grays. Super congrats to Sophie, and best wishes for many more. (She looks a great trail & peak companion!)

Still not a report, even w/vimeo

Bean, you've stepped up and posted a 'report' that's on par with other (non)reports. Well done. Vimeo doesn't make it better, even thought the music was cool.
Someone had to say it.

See this.

Sorry

I'll add a few dozen extraneous adjectives next time along with splits for each mile and descriptions of how tough the route finding was.

Is the road bad still?
8/29/2012 11:46pm
I was going to head up tomorrow. Is that spot on the road really bad still? Do you think a Subaru outback would get past it?

Thanks
