Grand Teton (13,776) via Upper Exum Ridge (5.5)
Middle Teton (12,805) via SW Couloir (class 3)
South Teton (12,513) via NW Couloir (class 3)
Itinerary (Aug 9-11, 2012):
Day 1: Hike from Lupine Meadows TH to Lower Saddle @ 11,600 ft (5K gain w/ heavy packs)
Day 2: Grand Teton, descend to Meadows camping area @ 9,200 ft
Day 3: Middle & South Tetons, pack out
General Impressions: The Tetons sure have some solid, interesting and beautiful rock. Upper Exum Ridge is pure fun, a mountain playground. The crowds and feeling of overuse did detract from the experience a little for me, though nearly everyone we ran into was friendly. The range is narrow and very small and I've been far more impressed during my visits to the neighboring Winds. The Tetons are a worthwhile destination though and I will most likely be back someday.
