Summit: 8:30am
Back at the car: 10:30am

My goal Satuday morning was Golden Bear from Loveland Ski area, then off to Hagar and Citadel. My usual hiking partner was absent this morning and after reaching the top of Golden Bear I decided that Hagar and Citadel would be much more fun with another person, and probably safer since Citadel didn't seem to have any obvious routes. The weather was absolutely perfect!

Just there a month or so ago, didn't remember seeing a register! Shows how hard I look I guess.

Regarding your comment on no obvious routes on Citadel...dont take the wrong gully like I did when you head back to get it...

Nice work.

Cool, i can see my name on your register pic. I was up there a few weeks ago and hiked it from the tunnel. (Followed Ridge from Coon Hill). I think you took the better route.

Derek- The register was under the rocks by the brass tag. I didnt see it until I was done eating. I'm not the greatest 4+ climber so I'm going to hold off on Citadel until my oldest son wants to go. He seems to be a natural at picking a route.

Dave- Following the road up to the top ski lift is the easiest. I tried a short cut on the way up and ended up ascending 300' at a hard angle and tired myself out. I plan on doing Hagar from Golden Bear ascending the same route.
