 Finishing the Elks

Me on Pyramid
After getting the summit of Pyramid me and my brother Nathan headed over to the Capitol Creek trail head.

Image A great night of sleep in the ol' mini van got me started on the trail at 5 ready for a long day.

Image Once reaching the saddle I started the trail contouring around to reach the ridge. Capitol lake looks beautiful at this point.

Image The knife edge was the next task at hand to get another step closer to the summit.

Image I chose to walk along the top of the steep ridge trying to keep my balance. The whole ridge was a blast.

Me on Capitol
A long approach and windy ridge finally landed my on the summit which proved to be a rewarding one.

Image Thanks to Bo for taking all these pictures of me and providing a great hiking partner.
