Sorry this is such a belated trip report at a time of the year when conditions change daily, but for what its worth, here is my offering. A KML/GPX track, more photos, a video, and a panorama shot are all in my report. My full trip report is on my blog, please enjoy:

For those who don't wish to follow through a link I've included some basic photos showing the conditions along the trail:

Hiking up the 4WD road

Just past the Colorado Trail on the South Elbert trail

Up on the east ridge, good trench the whole way so far

After a large meadow near 11500, ran into a confusing junction just after this

A look at Elbert from around 12000

Good rock/snow mix on the upper east ridge

Another look at the snow conditions above 13000

Perfect day from the summit.

Here are all my photos:

It was bootable on top. Everything was windblown. Lot of open bare rock. Some portions with a foot of snow still.
