Nice report and congrats to all! The Wham was on my list of goals for the year. Alas, it looks like my view of it from Jones/Niagara on Sept 4 will be the closest I get this year. Your report will have to suffice. Sigh.

Thanks for the invite and the lead, Ben. I couldn't have done it without you. Maybe we should sit down with helmut this winter and plot something slick in the Weminuche for '12. I hope to catch up with you soon.

You're a great partner.

This is a special area indeed...Jesse, Carpe, Brian, you guys need to get in there! But the nice thing about these peaks is they'll always be there, so there's no rush .

Thanks Kevin, likewise man! It was great getting out with you and Sarah.

I also owe a thank you to mtnfiend for the use of his rack. Rick, a sixer of your choice is on me...

Looks like a great trip guys. Really like that last shot of Wham Ridge. These peaks are high on my constantly expanding Colorado to-do list.

Honing those communication skills ...

Looks to me like you all ”communicated” wonderfully on these two peaks! Way to get 'er done! What beautiful photos from you and Wooderson, and sooooo glad the weather worked out for all of you. I'm the green-eyed lady when it comes to that Wham ridge. 8) Thanks so much for posting, benners. Happy, hoppy trails!

Damn Phish Tour!

Any other weekend, I would have given an arm and a leg to go with you all. Well, maybe not a limb (how could I climb?), but something worth a lot to me.
Great TR, aesthetic and betalicious pics, and a solid lead, Ben.

Superb shots

Those are some awesome shots you got there, Ben! Brings back fond memories of Wham. Yes indeed, if Arrow was a 14er, there would be a lot of people worried about it! Not a peak to be on in a storm! Thanks for the writeup.

Good to see Old Blue Eyes got some use on The Wham.

Modus, 5 Grenadiers, a 30 minute train ride as opposed to 2 and a half hours and the ”White Slabs of Death”. Classic.

I didn't know she had a name, but I like it.

Of all the photo reports on Vestal I've ever seen, these are the best shots for showing the character of the climb. Great work. (Now go fix that cromulent descent...)
