 Redcloud/Sunshine -- standard

On the trail at 0630, see my trailhead status update for further details. Summitted Redcloud at 1000, cloudy and cool for the most part. Never took off the jacket or the long legs off the pants. Trail is excellent and obvious, no snow anywhere, two very tiny stream crossings.

On Redcloud for 15 minutes, then over to Sunshine. Took an hour and fifteen minutes each way. Weather started coming in around 1300 when I got back to Redcloud, so I headed down quick. Some dirzzle and sleet coming down. Passed a few hikers coming up trying to gain the summit. Perhaps they had a genetic immunity to lightning strikes :-). No lightning or thunder, though.

Some very light rain around 1500 as I was nearing the trailhead, but by the time I got there it was warm and sunny again. That's fall weather in the mountains, I guess.

Saw some marmots right on the trail, cool. For complete description with pics, see the public facebook link here.

Took me nine hours round trip. Great day!
