Traversing the Bells - Completing the 4 Traverses

On July 23rd Kristi, Mike and I climbed South Maroon Peak and traversed to North Maroon Peak. We started hiking at 4:00am and summited S. Maroon at 10am. We spent a nervous 40 minutes on the summit enjoying the blue bird day before beginning the traverse. We spent the next 3 hours scaling the traverse. With the weather holding we spent another 40 minutes on the summit of N. Maroon and was back at the car by 6:00pm. A fantastic 14 hour day.

The Bells traverse was my finisher for the 4 grand 14er traverses.

My buddy Phil and I saw you guys coming down South Maroon while we were almost done with the traverse. We took several pictures of you guys... The last picture you guys are so small I had to circle you. Let me know if you want any of the originals. Here they are.

Nice work! I can't get enough of these pictures of the traverse. Your picture 38 or 39 was my partner's and my last route finding argument. The bypass on the right had a 55 degree snow bank and we could not see around the corner so we had no idea how far it went. John wanted me to lead that tower! Seems crazy now looking at that pic.
