 Big Eyes

I had wanted to get into the gore this season but wasnt planning on it for a couple more weeks. After speaking with Brian aka lordhelmet and Ben aka benners on grays, I checked out Stan Wagons site who has a number documented descents in the Gore. Check out Stan's one day traverse from vail to the east side of the gore last week with a descent of the vahalla east face!
somehow this line made it to the to of my list real quick and friday was my next day off.

a great POV video can be found at this really shows what a great ski big eyes is!

The corn in the gore and the mile last weekend was a very fine product similar to the corn on indy pass 3 weeks ago! Sking can still be had to within 10- 20 min from your car in the ten mile in some cases we had great skiing below treeline in some heavily windloaded chutes!

How about including little details in your report, like what peak you climbed/skied, TH used, etc?

of the Gores is figuring out where this is. Its somewhat hidden in the southeastern edge of the range, viewable only while heading south on rt.9 from Kremmling.

Nice ski, my skis were supposed to grace this line earlier this month, but s**t happens. Thats a long haul with an alpine setup, way to persevere.

plenty of snow left in the gore
