 .....and then there were 39

So, I know La Plata is Spanish for "silver". But when I lived in Paraguay (2000-2002) plata was the casual word for "money". So I call La Plata Peak the Money Peak. I think it sounds cooler.

Anyways, I climbed La Plata last Saturday and enjoyed myself immensely. Joy, when accompanied by misery amplifies the joy further....or maybe it's the other way around. All I remember is that I had a great time. I have flash memories of postholing that I've tucked deep into my subconscious.

Sometimes I feel like a victim of domestic abuse when hiking. It's like I know it's gonna hurt but I keep going back to him because I think "this time" it's going to be different.

I've already included in a conditions report that the third creek crossing was a little sketchy. There's a lot of melting snow up there. For a full detailed report PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

for the great pictures- especially the non blurry head shot, which I prefer to the blurry whole body shot, yada yada yada, and it looks like a great day. Well done!

Domestic abuse haha I'll have to remember that one next time someone asks what hiking a 14er is like.
