Driving Directions |
From the junction of San Juan County Road 110 (Silverton's main street) and CR-2, drive 2 miles and turn right onto CR-21. Drive another 1.2 miles up the steep dirt road to CR-21A, then drive 2.4 miles up into Little Giant Basin. You'll drive through some dilapidated old mines along the way. Coordinates are for the junction of the road and a trail that leads up to King Solomon Mountain; the road only goes another few hundred feet past this point. This is not an official trailhead, but you can still drive up and park where it makes sense.
