Notes: Started out cool, with Jason Schmithuber, Nicole Yost, and myself. Ben Li joined us about 2/3 the way up. We encountered snow on the last 1200 feet or so, with a slippery trail around a ridge to the right at about 700 feet from the summit, so on the way down we took an alternate route...more direct, but with large rocks to navigate around, so that slowed us down quite a bit, as did the snow and not having snowshoes or crampons. At the summit, grey clouds and moderate snow started, so we hustled down after spending just 5 minutes at the top. Ben stopped about 200 feet from the summit as he lagged a bit behind us. He came back the next day and summited with another group. Great first 14er! No problem with the altitude for anyone.
