If doing Horseshoe, when taking the 4wd road ("on the left, near 11,600") as mentioned in the trailhead directions, you can only get up to about 11,900'. There are two very large snowbanks crossing the 4wd road that cannot be navigated. One is at 11,900', the other is just shortly beyond.
