We saw a lot of Subarus at the TH a few weeks ago. Maybe the road has gotten worse since we were up there, but it definitely wasn't as bad as you're describing when we went.

Was up there yesterday and the obstacle that is .4 miles from the trailhead is no joke. I have a Cherokee (XJ) that is lifted 3inches and has skids all around and I seriously considered not going over it.......... for about 10 seconds while I was picking my line ;-) For what it's worth all Subarus and other SUVs and even several trucks (15 vehicles in total) that I saw were parked below the obstacle.
