Status Update
Made it up to the top without needing 4wd (but it helped). Saw several 2wd cars at the top, but also a lot struggled with the deep section about 3/4 of the way to the trailhead. Parking lot filled up by 6:30 even on a weekday, and when we left there were cars all along the road. As people have noted, the road is in very bad condition compared to 2-3 years ago: lots of exposed rock, deep unavoidable ruts, poor grading. Drive slow and choose your line carefully.

I've taken my Hyundai Elantra up to Silver Creek/Grizzly Gulch the last few years. How does this compare to that?

It€„¢s worse.

I drove the Grays road a few years ago, and I just drove to Grizzly Gulch today.

I recall the road to Grays being steeper and much rougher.
