We all parked at the lower TH - only Razrs, jeeps, and lifted trucks were heading up. Saw one brave Honda Pilot driving up as we were headed down. Creek crossings aren't deep. Easy road to hike but not worth ruining car over. Easy road to lower TH - smooth dirt road and paved most of the way. No Verizon cell service until after treeline.

Brave, or crazy?! That was us - my determined Bulgarian husband who was raised driving Russian SUVs... and apparently thinks our Pilot is an equivalent. We got to just past the creek crossing, before the dispersed camping started. Unfortunately, had a transmission incident trying to park and hit a tree. Lucky to have Kevin from Ski Cooper's Catski operation pull us back onto the road. Definitely would NOT do that again in a Pilot, but pushed this time so our kids could actually make the mileage (ended up being 10.0 RT).
