If you are referring to the Bierstadt Lake hiking trail..... then no, I did not. I drove up Guanella pass to the Guanella Pass trailhead which heads up to the summit via the west slopes. That trail had a lot of snow still on it, but that was almost 2 weeks ago, so who knows now.

Thanks Tron. Did you have to use spikes/microspikes due to ice when you climbed via the west slopes a few weeks ago? How was creek by the way, easily passable, coming and going? Sorry for pinging you with all the questions, but, planning on heading up on Friday with a group, so just wanted to get as much helpful info as possible.
No spikes, did the whole thing in Mountaineering boots.
The creek was wide on the way up (threw packs across and jumped it) but was wider on the way down...... we almost went for a swim.
Overall I would recommend starting early if there is still significant snow. I would say get prepped and start up at daybreak and you should be fine. When we came back down around 2pm (we got a late start) the post holing was almost unbearable. It took FOREVER and just sucked the energy out of me. Poor planning on our part.
