Sangre de Cristo

I was interested in the snow conditions for Tijeras and peaks around Sand Lake. I made it to within 3/4 miles and 400 feet below the parking area at 10,300 feet for Music Pass. There was too much snow to make it farther. I hiked the 6.3 miles and 2500 feet to Blueberry Mountain (1311) and unranked Snowslide Mountain and Blizzardine Peak. There are great views from there.
Pic#1 is the road where we started hiking.
Pic#2 is a view of the peaks from the ridge between Snowslide Mountain and Blueberry Mountain. Snowslide and Blueberry sit approximately 1500 to 2000 feet above the Sand Creek drainage to the east.
Pic#3 is Blueberry Mountain at 12,005 feet.
Pic#4 is another view of the Sangre De Cristo peaks, looking north towards Tijeras, Milwaukee, etc.
