Status Update
Made it about 2 miles up the road in a Wrangler - at that point we hit some loose snow that was deep enough to spin all 4 tires. On the way back down there were signs of others getting stuck in the same area. There were no tire tracks above that point or vehicles at the summer trail head. If you can get past that one area, the rest of the road didn‘t seem too bad. There are also a few downed trees across the road - one was resting high enough I was able to bend it up enough to drive under, the others were farther up the road than we drove.

just past where stikman got in his wrangler in our subaru. would need a high clearance vehicle at the minimum for the snow to get any further, the two downed trees shortly beyond our stopping point would be tough to bypass at this point.
