Road is mostly dry up to the first creek crossing. Just after the first creek crossing you can make it a couple hundred yards higher but then there are some drifts, which should melt soon. The bad news is that there was a huge avalanche covering the road about a half mile above the first creek crossing and continuous snow after that. It will be a while before this melts out.

The snow is melting FAST, but still some large drifts.
Talked with some local guys who were headed up to check out the damage from the avalanche. They intend to clean out the trees and debris- this will take them a while though.

The snow IS melting fast, really fast. However there is avalanche debris in more than just one location. There were at least three separate debris crossings over the road up the trail. The debris includes large (6-9in diameter) trees laid down and large drifts. It was tedious to cross the debris with snowshoes which were still necessary once the day heated up.
