|Peak:||Humboldt Peak (14er)|
|Route:||Southeast Flank Gully|
|Range:||Sangre de Cristo|

There is snow from the very bottom of South Colony Lakes Road all the way to the top of it. Easy skinning punctuated by countless downed trees that were a pain in the A$$. Trail is broken on the road all the way to the turn off for the SE flank route on Humboldt. The SE flank of Humboldt has continuous snow about 300-500ft beneath the summit. Ski conditions are crappy with lots of sastrugi above treeline, a breakable sun crust on top of facets in the trees, and some decent pow near the road.
If you are looking to ski Humboldt I would definitely wait for more snow and better conditions.
