Hiked the entire ridge in mountaineering boots - snowshoes or microspikes weren't necessary, although that could change soon. The trail was covered with packed snow most of the way.

Really nice picture of the mountain goats! I can't wait until the day when I am close enough to one of them that I can get a great photo like that. They look so adorable with their big fluffy winter coats. Seeing wildlife on a hike always makes my day. Seeing a lynx would probably make my year.

I swear, those animals are practically domesticated. Bring a leash next time, and you'll have a new family pet... plus, no further need for a lawnmower
