The snow was mixed sastrugi in both forks of the Tuning Fork. It didn't soften up even in the afternoon. There is a little bit of wind-deposited snow on the face, but not much. The top of the right fork is melted-out and you have to downclimb a few hundred feet from the ridge to get to the snow. The snow in Grizzly Gulch at the base was nonsupporting collapsible slush by the Afternoon. |
