We hiked Handis peak from Grizzly Gulch trailhead. We did not need snowshoes, gaiters, or crampons. The trail is almost clear all the way up. Just small patches of snow, particularly beneath the ridge. It is easy to pass it, not a problem (see the picture). Just be ware of porcupine activity in the trailhead. |
