My 4x drive station wagon made it to where the colorado trail meets the road (9,500ft). We brought snow shoes but did not use them. The trail is pretty easy to follow until after the north slope, which has little snow but does have some ice. The scramble up to the low point on the ridge was the hardest part, lots of loose talus and a few inches of snow. On the ridge the hike up to the summit was easy as several cairns are visible.
