Got to the TH at 4:45. Very sloppy snowmud mix through the willows. No traction or flotation needed at that time of the morning. Snow was just firm enough on the way up to only need microspikes. Reached summit at 7:00. On the way down, it warmed up very quickly and I occasionally broke through the snow. Not enough to make me put on my snowshoes. Willows even sloppier on the way down. Start earlyfinish early = No problems. |
