Camped overnight on Sunday to get an early start on Monday. The trail through the lower section in the willows was mostly hard ice while the upper sections were snow packed. The summit was quite cold and gusty. Got much warmer on the way down and the lower icy sections turned to mud. This was my first 14er and it was spectacular. Thanks to everyone on 14ers.com and all the resources here I was well prepared, knew exactly where to go and what to expect. |
