Im not a skier, but Id say that ski season on Lackawanna is over. The approach gully has thin snow and from ~12.2k to ~12.7k the snow is completely melted. Most of the ridge to the summit above the gully is melted out.

Its in pretty good condition to walk up and down, but IMO leave the skis at home.

Pic 1 - From about 12.2k looking up.

more snow on the north side

We were up there today also. Had trouble staying on-route for the NW Ridge (lots of snow from cabins to treeline). Went down Lackawanna Gulch which had a lot of snow from the saddle down to the lake (13,400 to 12,400). Fortunately the snow was pretty supportive. Below 12,400 everything was melting out (stay on the north side of the creek to avoid postholing).

... the two people we ran into as we were heading to 13,600 and you were getting close to the summit of Lackawanna?
