There are some soft spots in the approach, but flotation is not necessary. I found spikes to be helpful, especially on Democrat which contained the most hard-packed snow. There is some hard-packed snow close to the top of Lincoln and below Bross. Tops of Cameron and Bross were dry.

Looks like you took the standard route the whole way? There's so little snow on Bross, doesn't seem to be any need to take the S gully right now when standard is looking so dry.

Thanks

Yes, I went the standard route: Democrat, Cameron, Lincoln, Bross. There is probably enough snow that S gully could be used. The regular route for Bross was actually easier yesterday than in the summer since having a little snowpack means no scree.

I'm thinking of trying this tomorrow. I've only got a Toyota Corolla. How's the road for 2WD ? About how far up towards Kite Lake do you expect I might be able to drive?

I put a TH update, as well. The mines plow to about 1.5 miles from the summer TH. So, unless there's a snowdrift that gets blown over the road, any car should be able to make it to that point. 4WD shouldn't be needed. Parking is around a sign that says private lands begin here at roughly that 1.5-mile mark. It's plowed a little further than this, but there are a ton of no parking signs
