I skied the North Slopes on Grays. Then we hiked over to Torreys. The ridge from Grays to Torreys was completely dry. The standard trail was mostly snow-covered up until 12,000 feet and then it had patchy snow for the rest from what I saw. The Dead Dog Couloir had lots of wet slide debris which made it look fairly rough. If you want continuous snow from the trailhead up until 12,000 feet I recommend staying in the bottom of the gulch where there was continuous snow up until right before the walking bridge.

I assume you parked at the winter trailhead or could you drive all the way in?
