Roughly half of the route is still covered in snow. Frozen and crunchy on the early morning ascent, soft and postholes for days on the decent. Snowshoes worked great on the flatter areas, however much of the snow is on slanted ground or forest. Be prepared for a lot of postholing in the afternoon.
