|Peak:||Mt. Sherman (14er)|
|Route:||Southwest Ridge from Fourmile Creek|
|Date of Info:||05/19/2012|
The upper trailhead is open and clear, but a bit rough for 2WD. The summer trail is not broken through the snow yet. The winter alternative takes a short cut to the saddle with few switchbacks and crosses a snow field with well-placed footholds. Microspikes and an ice axe might make a climber more comfortable but are not required. The ridge has very little ice or snow on it.
