Just an FYI on some fire bans, Clear Creek County Stage 2, RMNP Stage 2 and Garfield County Stage 1. There may be more that I don't know about and more to come if the dry weather keeps up. Obviously those of you in the Front Range know that 4 new wildfires started since Monday (7/29) and at least 3 have been confirmed as human triggered. Be careful out there and check the areas you plan on camping for any fire bans. These may be initiated by local governments or by the land management agency (i.e. Forest Service or Park Service). Also note that some areas (Eagle County for one that I know of) will automatically initiate a Stage 1 Fire Ban when under a Red Flag Warning.

Boulder County is Stage 2.

This site shows which counties have bans, http://www.coemergency.com/p/fire-bans-danger.html, unfortunately you have to drill down to the county site to determine what stage.

I have been putting a single flashlight bulb on top of one of these for DECADES
instead of a campfire when car camping before hikes
