Fort Collins Mountaineering / Snow Climbing Partners

Post by medic6408 »

I am in graduate school up in Fort Collins and looking for local partners interested in mountaineering objectives this season.
I'm training to head to Peru this summer and hoping to get a bunch of long days of snow climbing in before August.

I've been climbing for about 7 years. I've taken several courses with American Alpine Institute in the Cascades: trad leading, steep snow technique, crevasse rescue, rock rescue, etc . . .
Last year, I led 5.10ish sport and 5.6-5.7 trad, but I took a break from rock climbing so my lead head is probably nowhere near that. I lead easy ice.

I quite enjoy snow climbing. In Colorado, I’ve climbed dead dog couloir, dragons tail, and Andrew’s glacier.

Hey yeah I'm in Fort Collins and am just getting into mountaineering and would be interested to meet up for some routes! I've done few snow climbs and attempted longs last calendar winter.
